GTA 6 leaker ties full game release to $30M meme coin

An anonymous GTA 6 leaker known as CyberLeek has threatened to release the entire game before its November 19 launch if a Solana-based meme coin reaches a $30 million market capitalization, according to a statement published on October 10.

Summary

  • CyberLeek claims a complete GTA 6 build could be released after CYBERLEEK reaches $30 million.
  • The anonymous account demanded physical game discs and a public apology from publisher Take-Two Interactive.
  • Rockstar has scheduled GTA 6 for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox consoles.
  • CyberLeek previously circulated gameplay footage, including approximately 25 minutes of clips released on October 8.
  • No independent evidence has established that CyberLeek possesses a complete playable version of the game.

According to an October 11 report by Wolf’s Gaming Blog, the individual or group behind CyberLeek claims to possess a complete playable version of Grand Theft Auto VI, including its main storyline. The account offered to withhold the alleged release if publisher Take-Two Interactive agrees to distribute physical game discs and issues a public apology. No independent evidence has confirmed that CyberLeek possesses the full game.

The statement follows the circulation of additional unreleased gameplay footage on October 8, when the same online identity published approximately 25 minutes of material reportedly showing characters, vehicles and activities from the upcoming title.

GTA 6 leaker makes $30 million cryptocurrency demand

CyberLeek outlined the proposed arrangement in an October 10 statement titled The Offer, which appeared on a website associated with the anonymous account.

The message links the release of a purported complete GTA 6 build to the market value of CYBERLEEK, a cryptocurrency created on the Solana blockchain. The account claims that reaching a $30 million market capitalization would trigger the release of material containing the entire single-player campaign.

In the statement, CyberLeek wrote: “CYBERLEEK hits 30 million marketcap, the build goes out.” The account further claimed that the material would include the game’s storyline through its ending and credits.

However, the statement does not clearly establish whether the promised release would be a downloadable, playable game or recorded footage showing the campaign. CyberLeek offered to provide additional footage requested by viewers as supposed evidence of access to the complete game.

According to an October 10 report by Dot Esports, the anonymous account offered Take-Two an alternative to the cryptocurrency target.

Dot Esports The publisher could avoid the threatened release by committing to distribute GTA 6 on physical discs and issuing a public apology. CyberLeek has made similar demands about physical game ownership since footage first appeared in August.

Rockstar’s official support documentation confirms that the physical edition of GTA 6 contains a download code instead of a game disc. Rockstar Games Customer Support The company has not publicly agreed to change that arrangement in response to CyberLeek’s demands.

CYBERLEEK meme coin remains below the stated target

The cryptocurrency connected to the alleged leaker had a reported market capitalization of approximately $2.87 million on October 11, according to Wolf’s Gaming Blog.

The figure was substantially below the $30 million level specified in CyberLeek’s statement. The reported valuation is a snapshot from October 11 and has not been independently verified against a live Solana liquidity pool or token supply record.

Market capitalization generally represents a token’s circulating supply multiplied by its trading price. It does not indicate how much cash buyers have invested or how much an individual holder could withdraw. CyberLeek previously used footage attributed to GTA 6 to advertise the token.

According to Dot Esports, the account published 15 gameplay clips during August, with some videos containing cryptocurrency promotional material and QR codes. The account reportedly encouraged token holders to participate in polls determining which clips would appear next.

During the August campaign, CYBERLEEK’s market value reportedly reached approximately $23.4 million before falling. Dot Esports reported that the valuation declined to approximately $11 million by August 26 and to roughly $3.2 million the following day.

The publication further reported that the account had withdrawn approximately $250,000 in trading fees during the earlier promotional campaign. That amount has not been independently verified through identified on-chain transactions.

The October 10 announcement introduced another cryptocurrency-related condition, this time linked to the alleged release of the complete game. No verified statement from Rockstar or Take-Two confirms that the token has any official connection to GTA 6.

Earlier GTA 6 footage prompted legal action from Take-Two

CyberLeek first attracted attention in August after distributing footage presented as unreleased GTA 6 gameplay.

The material reportedly included scenes involving the game’s two protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Following the initial releases, Take-Two began pursuing legal measures intended to identify the source of the footage.

According to an August 23 investigation by TorrentFreak, Take-Two requested subpoenas involving Microsoft, Discord, X and Google.

The publisher sought records that could help identify individuals associated with distributing copyrighted game material.

Documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York described requests for account records, device information and identifying details associated with the CyberLeek name.

The filings followed copyright removal requests targeting videos circulated through online platforms. TorrentFreak reported that the footage included advertisements promoting CYBERLEEK on Solana.

The publisher’s legal actions concern the unauthorized distribution of copyrighted material. They do not independently establish that the account controls a complete version of GTA 6.

In a later August 31 report, TorrentFreak described additional efforts by Take-Two to obtain Discord records while requesting confidentiality around parts of the investigation.

The publisher said the inquiry was continuing and sought additional information connected to accounts involved in distributing footage. Take-Two’s legal filings have not resulted in a publicly confirmed identification of the person controlling the CyberLeek website.

New GTA 6 footage appeared before the latest crypto demand

After several weeks without a major public release, CyberLeek circulated approximately 25 minutes of purported GTA 6 gameplay footage on October 8.

The new material reportedly showed first-person driving, vehicle activities, cutscenes and character interactions. An October 9 report by GamesRadar described the footage as the account’s largest recent release.

The publication reported that the clips contained scenes involving Jason and Lucia, including sequences not shown in Rockstar’s promotional trailers.

However, short gameplay clips do not demonstrate that the person distributing them possesses the entire completed game. Footage can originate from a development build containing only selected environments, missions or testing tools.

There has been no public independent examination confirming that CyberLeek can play through GTA 6’s complete campaign. Rockstar has not authenticated the October 10 claim that the leaker possesses the entire game.

The account’s identity remains unconfirmed, and the announcement does not establish whether the person operating its website is the same individual responsible for every earlier video.

Rockstar keeps GTA 6 release scheduled for November 19

Despite the latest claims, Rockstar continues to list November 19, 2026, as the release date for Grand Theft Auto VI. The company announced the date on November 6, 2025, after moving the launch from its earlier schedule.

The game is scheduled for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar’s official store currently lists the game for preorder, with Lucia and Jason as the central characters in a story set in the fictional state of Leonida.

The developer has provided official trailers, screenshots and information about the game’s setting and characters. Customers purchasing the physical edition are expected to receive a download code, with preloading scheduled to begin November 12.

According to Rockstar’s published purchasing guidance, the physical package will not include a game disc.

The company has not announced a change to the release date or physical distribution plans following CyberLeek’s October 10 statement. Take-Two has not publicly accepted the anonymous account’s demands for physical discs or a formal apology.

Its existing legal investigation has centered on identifying those responsible for distributing unreleased gameplay footage.
