What’s New in the Bitcoin.com Wallet app: Four Chains, Upgraded Pay Links, and a Lot More

In the last two months, four new networks landed in the Bitcoin.com Wallet, plus we shipped a bunch of big improvements. Here is the whole lot in one place.

Four new chains

The Bitcoin.com Wallet is now fully multichain! With a single wallet you can manage Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Solana, Tron, and Stellar. From the Wallets tab on the app’s homescreen, just:

  • scroll to the bottom and tap ADD / IMPORT
  • select Multichain Wallet
  • enable any chains you want with the tap of a button.

Here are the four new chains since our last update:

Solana

Solana went live in June, and full token support followed shortly after. You can hold, send and receive any Solana token. Buy and sell are supported for key assets like SOL, USDT, and USDC, and swap is supported for many others.

If you have been keeping Solana assets in a separate wallet because ours did not support them, that is no longer necessary.

Base

Base, the Ethereum Layer 2 incubated by Coinbase, is now enabled. That means you can now hold, send, and receive any Base token. Buy and sell are supported for ETH and USDC, and swap is supported for many others.

Base keeps transaction costs well below Ethereum mainnet while inheriting Ethereum’s security, and it is home to native USDC.

Arbitrum One

Support for Arbitrum One also landed. Just like with the other supported chains, you can now hold, send, and receive any Arbitrum token. EIP-681 QR receive is supported, so scanning an Arbitrum payment request just works. Buy and sell are supported for ETH, USDT, and USDC, and swap is supported fro many others.

Tron

Moving USDT on Tron used to mean a centralised exchange or a second wallet app. Now it’s native to Bitcoin.com Wallet: hold, send, swap, and buy TRX, USDT and other Tron tokens, with your keys staying yours the whole time. Just open the wallet and enable Tron to get started. Learn more about our Tron integration and how to enable Tron.

New things you can do

Pay Links (Android and iOS)

You can now create a Pay Link directly from the Send recipient screen. Instead of asking someone for their address, sending it, checking you got the right one, and hoping they paste it correctly, you generate a link and send that. It is the fastest way we have shipped to get paid by someone who is not standing next to you.

From the send screen, tap “Create paylink” and follow the instructions. It’s easy!

Buy Reminders (Android live, iOS coming soon)

Now you can set a recurring reminder to buy BTC on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. Tapping on the reminder notification links you straight into the buy flow, so acting on it takes seconds.

This is not automated buying. You stay in control of every purchase, which is the point. It removes the part people actually struggle with, which is remembering.

You can set it up from the buy flow, or by tapping the “unlock rewards” button under BTC in the Assets tab.

A rebuilt Sell flow (Android and iOS)

Selling through MoonPay has been reworked end to end, with clearer asset selection, payout method selection, better quote handling, and a smoother return to the app once your order is placed.

Candlestick charts (Android live, iOS coming soon)

Price charts now support a candlestick view, with more interval options and a toggle between chart types. If you read charts seriously, the line view was never enough.

Prediction markets, improved (Android and iOS)

Upcoming prediction rounds now show a Coming Soon state with the opening time in your local timezone, and the data refreshes automatically when participation opens. No more guessing whether a round has started or refreshing manually to find out.

Things that just work better now (Android and iOS)

A lot of this release cycle went into reliability, which never makes a good headline but is what you actually notice day to day.

  • Swaps tell you what went wrong. Failed swap orders used to fail silently. Now you get a clear message. Cancelled swaps no longer look like failures, and swap rewards apply in your current session instead of after a restart.
  • Pending transactions load instantly. Your Wallets screen shows pending transactions inline, loaded straight from cache and refreshed in the background, with a full list one tap away.
  • Sending is more predictable. Sweep Funds now broadcasts at the fee level you actually picked. Send-from defaults to a wallet that holds the asset rather than the first one in the list. Confirmation screens no longer show a fake $0 fee on a send that cannot be built.
  • A nudge to back up. After you receive your first crypto, the app now prompts you to secure your wallet. Self-custody only works if your recovery phrase exists somewhere safe, and the moment you first receive funds is when that stops being theoretical.
  • Faster starts. App startup and pending transaction loading were both optimised, with fewer hangs on slower devices.

What’s next

More networks, and more of the reliability work above. If there is something you want to see in the wallet, tell us.
