Quant Surges 109.5% in 30 Days on Banking Partnership

The Move: 109.5% Rally Over 30 Days

Quant (QNT) has gained 109.5% over 30 days, trading at $210.13 as of October 26, 2026, according to CoinGecko. The token added 14.1% in the most recent 24-hour period and 10.6% over seven days. At a market capitalization of $3.06 billion, QNT now ranks 35th among all cryptocurrencies, though it remains 50.8% below its all-time high of $427.42 set on September 11, 2021.
The rally has been sharp and concentrated. The token moved from the mid-$60s in late September to above $370 in early October before pulling back to current levels. That scale of move in that window brings both institutional interest and significant liquidation risk.
The Catalyst: The Clearing House and UK Banking Trials

The driver is well documented. On September 24, 2026, The Clearing House announced it had selected Quant to provide the interoperability layer for its On-Chain Money Initiative, a network designed to clear and settle tokenized deposits for financial institutions across the United States. The Clearing House is owned by 25 of the largest US banks and operates two of the country’s core payment systems: RTP for real-time payments and CHIPS for large interbank settlement.
According to a statement published on Quant’s website on September 24, 2026, the company will supply the layer for interoperability, orchestration, and transaction management. The Clearing House outlined on October 22, 2026, that design and bank integration is scheduled for fall 2026, with the first group of banks and customers to be prepared in the first quarter of 2027, and transaction processing targeted to begin in the second quarter of 2027.
On the same day as The Clearing House announcement, UK Finance reported that seven major UK banks had completed the first live customer transactions using tokenized sterling deposits. Barclays, HSBC UK, Lloyds Banking Group, Monzo, Nationwide, NatWest, and Santander processed transactions on the Great British Tokenized Deposit platform, which Quant built. The transactions included two remortgage completions and a consumer marketplace purchase, with funds locked and released automatically once conditions were met.
That dual announcement created the repricing event. The market had known about Quant’s interoperability technology, but seeing it selected for both a US banking network and live UK banking trials in the same week gave the narrative institutional scale.
The Lag Between Catalyst and Peak

The price move did not match the news timeline. QNT jumped 40% on September 25, 2026, according to multiple sources, closing near $100. But the real acceleration came later. New addresses on the Quant network hit 7,516 on September 27, about 55 times the weekday average from September 1 to 15, per Santiment data reported by Yahoo Finance on September 30, 2026. On announcement day, the count stood at 351. Active addresses rose from 2,064 on September 24 to 14,458 on September 27.
QNT reached $373 on Binance on September 29, 2026, its highest price since September 2021, according to Yahoo Finance. That peak came five days after the catalyst. The delayed response suggests the initial move was driven by those who read the announcement, while the surge to $370 was driven by those who saw the initial move.
Dollar-denominated open interest in QNT derivatives rose nearly nine times over those four days, per the same Santiment analysis. Measured in QNT, however, it grew about 2.2 times. That gap indicates much of the derivatives growth was price-driven rather than new position-building.
The pullback was equally sharp. QNT fell about 16% on October 2, 2026, following the 147% gain over the previous week, according to Coincu as reported by Pluang. By October 20, the token was trading near $192, down from over $370, per CoinMarketCap on October 20, 2026. As of this writing at $210.13, it has stabilized above its 50-day moving average but well off the late-September peak.
The Question of Token Demand
The structural issue for anyone holding QNT is whether enterprise adoption of Quant’s software translates into demand for the token. The Clearing House announcement did not specify that participating banks must buy, hold, or stake QNT, according to analysis published by CoinMarketCap on October 19, 2026. Token demand could come from fees or staking, but this has not been confirmed.
Quant’s older product documentation indicates that transactions on its Overledger interoperability platform can be powered by QNT, with fiat payment options available for corporate customers, per a 2022 explanation cited by CryptoSlate on September 29, 2026. That explanation predates the bank-network selection by four years, and the 2026 announcements do not specify whether that token mechanism applies to this implementation.
Overledger’s enterprise licensing model does require institutions to purchase licenses paid in QNT and lock them up for up to 12 months, according to a post by BSC News on May 21, 2026. The influx of commercial adoption from the Great British Tokenized Deposit project and earlier partnerships with Murex, announced in March 2026, has taken a portion of QNT’s 14.9 million token supply off the liquid market. But the scale of that lock-up and whether it applies to the US banking network remain undisclosed.
For someone holding QNT or considering it as a yield-generating position, this gap matters. A partnership that drives software revenue to Quant Network Ltd does not automatically drive demand for the QNT token. The company can sell licenses, charge service fees, and integrate its software into banking infrastructure without those transactions flowing through the open market for the token. Enterprise adoption is not the same as token-economic demand.
What This Does Not Mean for Yield and Income Holders
Quant does not offer native staking rewards, and QNT does not pay yield in the way a proof-of-stake token or a DeFi governance asset does. The token is a utility asset, required to access the Overledger platform and to pay for enterprise licenses within that ecosystem. It is not a share in Quant Network Ltd, and holders have no stated claim on revenue, according to Quant’s own documents as cited by CoinGabbar on October 8, 2026.
That makes the recent rally largely irrelevant to anyone evaluating QNT as an income-generating position. The 109.5% move does not create a staking opportunity, does not unlock a new yield product, and does not change the token’s economic role within the network. If you hold QNT, the move may have increased the dollar value of your position, but it has not changed how that position earns.
The banking partnerships are real, the technology selection is documented, and the timeline for the US network is published. What remains uncertain is whether any of that creates recurring, measurable demand for the token that someone holding for the long term can model or rely on. Until that link is demonstrated with on-chain data showing locked QNT rising in proportion to network usage, or disclosed revenue showing token fees from banking clients, the rally is a repricing based on potential rather than mechanics.
The Risk in a Fast Move
A 109.5% rally in 30 days does not occur without leverage, and leverage creates liquidation risk in both directions. Open interest in QNT derivatives stood at $92.98 million on October 25, 2026, up from $87.90 million the previous day, per CoinGlass data cited by FXStreet on October 26, 2026. That figure had peaked at $192.16 million on October 5 before falling as the price corrected.
Short positions worth approximately $17.2 million were liquidated over 24 hours during the late-September surge, according to TradingView on September 29, 2026. That forced buying added momentum to the breakout. The same mechanism works in reverse. If the price falls below key support levels, long liquidations can accelerate the move down.
For the rally to hold, the tokenized deposit network would need to launch on schedule in the second quarter of 2027, participating banks would need to begin live transactions, and those transactions would need to generate measurable, recurring demand for QNT. If any of those steps is delayed, scaled back, or structured in a way that bypasses the token, the current price will have priced in adoption that did not materialize.
What would break the move is simpler: profit-taking from those who bought below $100, a delay in the 2027 launch timeline, or clarity from The Clearing House or participating banks that their use of Quant’s software does not require ongoing purchases of the QNT token. Any of those would remove the narrative support and leave the token trading on momentum alone.
What Comes Next Is Execution, Not Speculation
The banking announcements are significant. The Clearing House processes more than $2 trillion in payments each day, and connecting that infrastructure to tokenized deposits is a real use case with real institutional backing. The UK trials are live, not conceptual. Seven major banks have already moved customer funds using Quant-built rails.
But execution risk is high. The US network is not scheduled to begin processing transactions until the second quarter of 2027, more than six months away. That is time for delays, for scope changes, for competing technology to be selected, or for the initiative to be restructured in a way that reduces Quant’s role. Enterprise software projects, particularly those involving multiple banks and regulatory oversight, do not always launch on time or at the scale initially announced.
For someone deciding whether this changes anything about holding QNT, the answer depends on whether you are holding for the technology narrative or for measurable cash flow. If it is the former, the banking partnerships strengthen the case. If it is the latter, there is no new yield, no new staking mechanism, and no disclosed revenue model tying token demand to network usage. The rally has increased the price. It has not changed what the token pays.
The Weekly Yield Report
You have just read why QNT doubled in 30 days and why token demand from its banking partnerships remains unconfirmed. That gap between software adoption and token economics will narrow or widen by Q2 2027.
